Stayed at a charming inn with cozy rooms. Loved the coffee and helpful receptionist. Enjoyed watching kayakers fall in the river. Great time overall.
Apparently, hot water is optional here. Such a unique feature for a hotel!

the location couldn't be more perfect, with everything I needed just a short walk away, including restaurants, a general store, and a river sports outfitter. the room was cozy, clean, and had a comfortable bed that ensured a good night's sleep. I loved the little kitchenette, which was a convenient addition. the porch swing was the perfect spot to sip coffee and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills.
I was a bit disappointed by the lack of clear instructions for the heater/cooling system and the absence of a phone in the room.

Convenient location, close to stores, restaurants, and river. Clean room with a little kitchen. Nice sitting area on the porch to socialize. Grass courtyard with benches and BBQ, perfect for dogs
Old and rough towels. Lack of amenities, only wall-mounted dispensers for body gel and shampoo.

The location is perfect, just a short distance from Lake Isabella. The rooms are very nice and clean, providing a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The front desk staff is friendly and welcoming, ensuring a pleasant stay. Additionally, the pool is small but well-maintained, offering a refreshing and relaxing space to unwind.
The check-in process could be improved to reduce waiting times for guests.

The Kern Lodge was a great value for the price paid. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was convenient, within walking distance to everything in town. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was a wider selection of options.

The location of this lodge is absolutely perfect, with a lovely local village within walking distance and a well-stocked supermarket just across the road. The staff are incredibly nice and accommodating, going above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with oh-so-comfy beds that will ensure a good night's sleep after a long day of hiking or river activities.
The bathrooms could use some updating and the overall structure of the lodge is a little rough around the edges.
